Pastor Brian Bowman
Brian, our lead pastor, graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and was a school teacher for 20 years before God called him into full time pastoral ministry. While he was teaching, he and Bettina were married on June 2, 1990. He completed his Certificate of Ministry Preparation through MVNU and was ordained August 4, 2010. Brian previously pastored in Wisconsin and Nebraska and began his pastoral service at Harney County in February of 2012. Brian is the Intermountain District Men's Retreat Director and serves on the Intermountain SDMI council. Brian also serves as a Harney County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate).
The Bowman's have two young adult sons, Alec and Brennick. Both Bettina and Brian are involved with the community choir and the community orchestra.
Brian enjoys recreating in the great outdoors of Harney County, especially fishing for smallmouth bass.
Pastor Bettina Bowman
Bettina became the pastor of Outreach and Discipleship in January of 2014. She is also a graduate of MVNU where she completed the Certificate of Ministry Preparation; she was ordained at the 2018 District Assembly. Bettina is the Ladies Retreat Director for the Intermountain District, serves on the SDMI council and is vice-president of the Intermountain NMI council. She also serves locally as president of Harney County Partners and is a board member of Crossroads Ranch ministries.
Bettina likes to read, watch Christmas movies, host people in her home and drink coffee any time of the day.
Pastor Jason Sanchez
Jason became the pastor to Youth and Families on January 31st, 2021. He is currently enrolled at Mount Vernon Nazarene University where he is working on his Certificate of Ministry Preparation. Jason was awarded his district pastor's license during the 2022 District Assembly.
Jason and his wife Diana have opened their home to children in the foster care system and enjoy helping those in need. They have two teenage boys living at home, Damien and Del. They also have four adult children, Christina, Randy, Travis, and Alexus.
Jason enjoys instructing and learning taekwondo, playing music, and taking short road trips with his family.
